Trust

This bible verse has been on my heart and has been a constant source of strength for me in the past few days.

Sometimes I just need a reminder of who's in control and that he has already created a perfect beautiful path for me.

WILW

Linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm loving "What I'm Loving Wednesday"! I think it's such a great way to remind yourself of the great things in your life. All too often I find myself focusing on the negative and this lil blog post serves as a weekly reminder of all the fabulous things going on in my little world!

I'm loving that our patio should be done today or tomorrow!

I'm loving the pretty pots I got this weekend at Calloways. I can't wait to plant flowers in them this weekend!

I'm loving that my parents are coming over this weekend to help me plant the above flowers!

I'm loving that I did better on my fit test last night than I did the other 2 previous times I've done it! I'll start sharing my results in a couple weeks.

I'm loving that I decided to do weekly dinner plans. I'm horrible at grocery shopping! I always end up spending a ton of money and come home with a bunch of random stuff and MAYBE just maybe the right ingredients to make one dinner... sad I know...

I'm loving that Roses for Rescue is this weekend and that Beckett will get to see his foster Momma! I'll be doing another post about this tomorrow or Friday for all the Dallas peeps that want to get some great deals on some beautiful roses!

And as always, I'm loving my boys!!!

What are you loving today! Link up and let us know!

I did it!!!

I completed The 30 Day Shred!!!! I'm a SHREDDER!

Hahaha! Can you tell I grew up with a big brother obsessed with TMNT! And yes, I look exactly like him.

I'm still in shock that I actually worked out 30 days in a row! I had mixed emotions about completing it though... I was really excited that I did it, but I'm a little nervous to start something new.

I'm a huge proponent for it now. It's a total biatch while you're doing it, but the results totally outweigh 25 minutes of pain each day. I am now able to do real sit ups with my hands behind my head and without anything holding my feet down. I can do walking pushups and walking planks, before The Shred I could barely do girl pushups.

And now to the important part. Total wieght loss: 7 lbs! Pretty impressed with that as well since I didn't really watch what I ate for the past couple of weeks. I also dropped a dress size. I tried on a couple different dresses last week at The Limited and the size that's normally a little snug on me was too BIG!!! That was the first shopping trip I've taken in a long time that I actually walked out of the mall feeling good about myself! That right there by itself is worth 750 minutes of pain over the month! I wish I would have taken before and after pictures!

I decided that I'm gonna go ahead and give Insanity another shot.

I figure I never thought I could complete a 5K and I did it with a pretty good time, I never thought I could workout 30 days in a row and I did it and I feel great. So my new goal is to complete Insanity on their schedule. I've tried Insanity twice and never made it past week 2... It's six days a week so I'm REALLY excited for a day off each week. Jeremy is going to be doing this one with me so hopefully we will keep each other accountable. I plan on writing each day in my planner too since it worked so well with The Shred. Tonight I'm going to take the before picture and do the fit test. Wish me luck! I'm gonna need it!!!

Sleep Over!

On Friday Amanda and her sweet pup Luna came over to hang out and spend the night.
I like to pretend Beckett and Luna are boyfriend girlfriend. How cute are they together??? She's so skinny, delicate, and proper and my special boy is... well... he just isn't those things. He's big and clumsey and hyper! And oh so adorable!

Hugs!

Luna is a rescue dog too and is as sweet as can be! They get along great and they wear each other out, which makes us mommies happy!

On Friday, the hubs and I took Amanda out to a couple local places and had a great time catching up and hanging out! Amanda was my sidekick all through grad school so Jeremy is use to lots of girl talk and craziness when we're together! We had a blast!

Saturday morning we got up watched Sex in the City on E! while Jeremy did yard work followed by lunch and a little shopping in downtown Rockwall. I also introduced Amanda to The Shred! She did awesome, but she said she could barely walk today! Ha! I'll be doing a recap tomorrow of The Shred when I finish it!!!!

Hair Update & A Giveaway!

Ok... so I've been like seconds away from a panic attack ever since I made the spastic hair appointment. It's been cancelled and I feel a ton better!

Lindsey Lee aka The Bargain Blonde suggested that I go to her stylist. Her hair is B-E-A-Utiful so I'm entrusting her with mine. I have a feeling she's just as picky and OCD as me based on her comment on my last post. I too have cried and been a total psycho after a bad haircut. This salon is the official Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders salon so I'm pretty sure I'll look like this when I leave. Abs and all!

I've scheduled an appointment at the new salon for April 9th, that was the soonest he could get me in so I figure he must be amazing!

And speaking of the fabulous Ms. Lindsey Lee, she's hosting her first giveaway over at The Bargain Blonde! She's giving one lucky follower one of these adorable cuffs!

If you haven't checked out her blog you need to, like now! She's a hilarious bargain shopping babe who will keep you laughing and your pocket book full! So go follow her and sign up for her giveaway!

Happy Friday ladies!

Hair Stress!!!

I was complaining about my hair a couple of days ago... It was driving me insane. It's just not the same as it use to be... I swear the older I get, the crappier my hair gets. I use to be able to wash it and let it dry on it's own and it would be lovely. That stopped about 8 years ago, maybe I got too particular, who knows... I use to be able to grow it down to the middle of my back and it still looked healthy. Not so much anymore. It's dry, I have split ends now, the underneath side of my hair is turning into a crimped mess, and I swear it's a grease ball in about 12 hours after washing. I'm annoyed and so done with it! At least that's what I was thinking when I called to make a hair appointment with Colby (who apparently no longer works at that salon and moved to the Gold Coast or some crazy place!), the receptionist said he referred all his clients to Mag.

Seriously? Mag? I'm going to let some random dude named Mag cut my hair off? I was being totally irrational and said yes to an appointment this Saturday...

Now, don't get me wrong I still want my hair cut, but I'm FREAKING out! I get my hair cut maybe twice a year and I get crazy nervous when a stylist I do know is doing it. I'm a total control freak and I HATE getting my hair cut because I have no control.

Now I'm stressing because I have no one else to cut my hair and I really want it done. Colby wouldn't send all his clients off to some crappy stylist, right? The last recommendation I got from a friend was horrible and I almost didn't talk to her ever again for it, it was that bad! HA!

Don't know what to do...

I'm thinking I'm gonna go through with it and just bring lots of pictures while hoping and praying for the best...

This is what I'm thinking...

Any thoughts?

My MIL

Have you heard this song? "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not?" by Thompson Square.

If you haven't and you like country you should take a listen.

I love it. It's really catchy and gets stuck in your head.

Apparently, my MIL loves it too.

While at her house on Sunday morning for brunch we were singing along to it and I stopped and listened to her words...

Instead of singing "Are we gonna do this or what?"

She was singing "Are we gonna do it or what?"

BAAAHAHAHAHA! I almost spit my mimosa all over the place.

I told her she had a dirty dirty mind!

She was embarrassed and now I can't stop singing "Are we gonna do it or what?"!!!

Love my MIL!

WILW

Missed WILW last week, but I'm back, don't you worry! Go link up with Jamie and join in!

I'm loving that it's Wednesday and the week is half way over! Sooooo ready for Friday!

I'm loving the weather! I wish it could be 80 all year round!

I'm loving all the new growth on all the plants in our yard. It's so rewarding to know that you are growing something and it looks good! I've pretty much killed every plant so this is a big deal to me!

I'm loving that my SIL is coming over tonight and we are going to have wine and girl talk!

I'm loving the fountain Jeremy and I built this weekend. Yes, we BUILT! Ha! I think I need to do a "how to" on that project!

I'm loving these pumps I got at B Pub for 30% off. I work in the healthcare corporate world and it's pretty conservative so this is about as exciting as my footwear gets to get at work!

I actually got these in black patent, but couldn't find a picture...

I'm loving The Pioneer Women! I think I'm a little late to this bandwagon, but I just found her and I'm obsessed! I tried one of her reciped the other night and it was DELISH! So good that the leftovers were even eaten!

I'm loving that our patio renovation is underway and will hopefully be completed by next weekend! Can't wait! Pictures to come!

As always, I'm loving my sweet hubby and my adorable Beckett!

Dancing in front of my hubs at our reception while he's singing "Ice Ice Baby"... Yep, we're that amazing! Ha!

TTT

I'm loving Taylor's Top 2 Tuesday today. It's Top 2 Dream Rooms! Only problem is I can't pick just 2... I've really really really been wanting to redo our bedroom. It's not a necessity though, so it gets pushed to the bottom of the list. I'm loving these romantic cozy master bedrooms. I think they are a good mix of both masuline and feminine. I can't decide which on I like best...

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

I think I'm leaning towards 2 and 5 the best! Which one do you like?

30 Day Shred - Level 3

I started Level 3 on Saturday and let me tell I couldn't have been happier to put Level 2 behind me. That mess was TORTURE! It definitely got easier, but there were just some moves in that level that were the bane of my existence...

Level 3 is tough, but I like it better. I can feel it working which makes me feel Ah-mazing! I'm amazed that I can actually feel biceps, I've never had hard biceps before! I keep flexing and making everyone feel them! Ha! I just can't believe it! My waistline is also shrinking, I went suit shopping on Sunday and needed a size smaller in the jacket and pants that normally are really tight around my waist are loose!

My only issue with The Shred, is that the scale isn't moving. I know I'm gaining a lot of muscle, I can see it, especially in my thighs and upper arms, but it would be nice to see that pesky little number decrease a lil bit.

Overall I love The Shred. It's only 25 minutes and it works! It's been a great motivator to have each day written in my planner, I'm too OCD to scratch it out and rewrite it and I also get really excited when I get to work in the morning and I get to highlight that it's been done (dorky, I know)! I still can't believe that I have worked out for 22 days in a row! Crazy! Just crazy!

Now I'm trying to decide what to do next. I've really fallen off the running bandwagon, so I was thinking about starting 10K training again. I was also thinking about doing another Jillian Michael's DVD or trying Insanity again. I'm leaning towards Insanity. Has anyone tried it? Completed it? I started it before I got married and couldn't even get past 2 weeks... :-/ It hurt way too bad, but I think with the plyometric training in The Shred I will be much more prepared.

Thankful Thursday

Hello loves! It's been one strange week, but in a good way! Lots has happened... Can't discuss at this particular moment but hopefully in the near future! I haven't done a Thankful Thursday post since before Thanksgiving and felt it was about time to do that again. There is just so much to be thankful for!

Today I'm thankful for...

*** The POWER of prayer! Our God works in a magnificent way! ***

*** The health of my family and friends! ***

*** New babies! One of my best friends told me she was 8 weeks pregnant yesterday! And two other blogger friends gave birth to two beautiful baby girls this week! ***

*** My loving, caring, extremely supportive, always there for me husband!***

*** My sweet Beckett ***

*** Fresh flowers in my living room. They make me so happy! ***

*** Warm weather! It's up to 80 today! ***

*** Reconnecting with old friends! Me and The Bargain Blonde are meeting up for another HH on Friday! I've known Lindsey since middle school and we lost touch after high school and just met up a couple weeks ago. I almost felt like we were on a blind date!  Ha! ***

*** That American's have such giving hearts and are willing to help people in need! ***

What are you thankful for today?
